Welcome to Institute of Nuclear Medicine & Allied Sciences (INMAS), Sylhet. INMAS, Sylhet is the most familiar & reliable institution of nuclear medicine activities in the north-east part of Bangladesh. Nuclear Medicine is the medical specialty, where a trace amount of radio-isotopes is used for diagnosis and treatment of various diseases. These non-invasive and safe procedures allow diagnosis in the initial phase of the disease at the molecular level; well before they are detected by other conventional diagnostic tests.

INMAS, Sylhet is a Government Organization under Bangladesh Atomic Energy Commission (BAEC). BAEC itself is a Commission set by presidential order to exploit the peaceful use of atomic energy and working under Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh. It is one of the best among 14 INMASs around the country.

The Institute of Nuclear Medicine and Allied Sciences, Sylhet is located in the Sylhet M.A.G Osmani Medical College Campus, which is most commonly known as "Poromanu Chikitsha Kendra" in Sylhet.

This institute is presently functioning with facilities like Dual head SPECT gamma camera, CT scanner, SPECT-CT fusion imaging, radio-iodine therapy, thyroid scanner, ultrasonography & color Doppler, bone mineral density (BMD) scanner, in-vitro laboratory for radioimmunoassay (RIA), chemiluminescence immunoassay (CLIA) and other necessary facilities. Here specially trained and highly experienced nuclear medicine doctors, technicians and staff work together who pay special attention to providing the best medical services. Doctors studying in various postgraduate disciplines are conducting attachment training at this institution. In this institute several research activities have been completed and published in various national and international journals.
